i just saw a fb post where a man was arguing with a woman about the best way to make macarons and he kept insisting that she was wrong, and then eventually he was like “I’ve never personally made macarons, but if you think about it what I’m saying makes sense, i’m simply stating the obvious. i’m sure there are plenty of youtube tutorials that would show you the same thing.” and the woman replied by linking him to her instagram business page and she makes fuckin macaron towers for parties for a living and i’ve been laughing about it for a solid 5 minutes.

Men automatically assume they’re more of an expert on something than any woman on account of their dicks. I’ve never met such an ignorant and narcissistic creature as a male

I’ll never forget a time when a fb friend of mine posted that she’s on her way to hospital to give birth. Women commented with “good luck” and other encouraging messages. A man’s comment was advice on how to give birth.

You have got to be kidding me

So I was talking about Jekyll & Hyde (the book) at a writer’s museum while we were looking at an Robert Louis Stevenson exhibit. I was giving my take on Jekyll, and my brother tried to counter it. I countered back easily, and then he said “well I’ve never read the book”

My dude………..stop

my ex, whose baking experience was pretty much limited to frying premade biscuit dough in boy scouts to make ‘donuts’, would constantly try to correct me or give me advice on baking

i’m a fucking pastry chef

met a dude at a party who was talking about physics and asked if i’d ever listened to any online physics lectures bc he listened to all of this one series and they were so helpful and maybe i could learn some physics too

i have a degree in physics

and am a published coauthor in astrophysics

the best part is that the woman who invented the term ‘mansplaining’ (her name is Rebecca Solnit and i highly recommend her collection of essays) came up with it when she was at a party one night and a man tried to explain a book to her, and wouldn’t let her speak long enough for her to tell him that

she wrote the bloody book he was mansplaining to her

The last addition 😂😂

Now this is just amazing

It got better

How women haven’t already burned the world to the ground is beyond me.

The difference between abuse & neglect and genuine love for a child that may be trans.

THIS IS IMPORTANT PLEASE SPREAD IT LIKE WILDFIRE.

I love this post so fucking much.
If it’s ok for girls to wear jeans, then how come Guys aren’t allowed to wear Skirts?
Seams like a stupid rule to me.

Also, adding those qualifiers that girls toys are “lesser” to young boys is one of the things that contributes to misogyny when they’re adults.

anyways fuck america for not educating students about the aids crisis whatsoever

my drama teacher mentioned to us “most of my friends from college are dead” and I knew right away what he meant. he explained “I was a drama major in the 1980s” and still no one else in the class understood. he explained a little bit about the aids crisis, but these kids had no idea before. it is truly heartbreaking to hear about it, and especially to see it being erased.

Oh my goodness- I don’t have kids yet, so I didn’t realize this was a thing! SO many family friends died in the 80′s/early 90′s – I was just a little kid, but I remember it so vividly.

Man… Like, how old are the kids that do not know about this?

I don’t mean this flippantly- but isn’t the musical ‘RENT’ still a thing?

Even in the UK, I never realised the full scope of how badly things got until I got into my teens.

GOD!  I just finished “Of Hearts and Heros” for the millionth time and my heart broke for the millionth time because we’ll never get an ending.

Why do I do this to myself?

There’s a part of me that want’s to write my own ending but that would entail Hermione getting pregnant and having the baby on August 1st, making that child also fit the prophecy, as Ron and Hermione defied Voldemort three time by helping Harry defy him in book 1,2 and 5. It’s a ridiculous idea but Voldemort in his arrogance, see’s the whole “marking as his equal” to mean Voldemort get to choose who it is and by now choosing Ron and Hermione’s kid Harry’s no longer a treat to him and has an easier mark.

Hermione and Ron are now Lily and James, Harry is Sirius, and Lupin is beside himself at watching history repeat it’s self.

Everyone turns on Adriana, believing that this was the “destiny” she saw and that why she encouraged their relationship so this child could be born and the fate of the wizarding world would be off her cousin’s shoulders.

That’s the melodramatic rout I would have taken.

What about you guys, how would you end it?.

That sounds intense @pynki (not to mention really gripping and cool).

How would I end it?

(SPOILERS FOR ‘OF HEARTS AND HEROES’)

Ron and Hermione are adorable and cutesy together.

Ginny and Dean break up cordially and Ginny ends up dating Harry (or maybe they both start dating Luna? Who knows).

Adrianna and Charlie work through their issues. So do Tonks and Bill.

With Ron feel confident in himself, the trio defeats Mouldy-Warts by the end of sixth year. The war ends before it can properly start.

Everyone lives. The end.

I’ve come to realize that about 90% of my hatred of Hermione Granger isn’t so about her but her fan base.

This idea that she’s perfect, confident, and can do no wrong; that she’s this epitome of morality and goodness just gets under my skin.

She’s not.

I used to like her. But now I concentrate more on her flaws than anything else because someone has to. Someone has to recognise the devious, insecure, tactless, sometime hypocritical, person with poor

social skills she really is.

You know, the things that made her relatable.

Like almost all JKR characters, she falls in the gray, but her fan base turned her into pure white snow. The untouched sheet of snow you see in a parking lots or fields and you just want to run through it and mess it up because it’s too perfect.

I don’t “hate” Hermione, but yeah.

Nevaeh now wears a scarf to cover several bald spots and her singed
hair. She was left with first-degree burns, but it could have been worse
according to Tanya Robinson, Nevaeh’s mother.

“The doctor told me her hairstyle saved her life,” Tanya recalled. “Had it been different, she might not be here.”

This isn’t the first time Nevaeh has experienced bullying. Two years ago, another student broke her thumb.

I’m walking into that school like

Hate crime. It should qualify as one.

Nevaeh is thirteen years old. This happened at Gompers School in the Philadelphia School District. The school district has not issued any comment, but y’all can make yours:

Hi!! (I’m the same guy who wrote the unsung hero head canon and have decided to write another one)

Headcanon: after the philosopher’s stone chess match, Professor McGonagall would have a monthly chess match with Ron while Hermione would keep score. Ron would win every time and Hermione fell in love with him more and more after every match.

(Thank you so much for submitting; this is a great headcanon!)
