Hi, anon. It just kind-of trails off after she stops appearing. There’s a few references to her after that, but not much.
I’d suggest giving it another read, just to see how it ends (not all the plot threads are tied up by the end, but some of the relationship drama does get resolved).
(WARNING- SPOILERS)
I think the series was started between the releases of OOTP and HBP, which is why so many of the characters that had development in the last two books (Tonks, Bill and Fleur, just to name a few) feel so different to the canon characters.
The Bill-and-Tonks-being-exes-who-can’t-stand-each-other thing really threw me. It’s one of the only things I don’t like about the series, since I always saw them as colleagues and good friends who’ve got each-other’s backs. It definitely portrays Fleur as an extension of the way she was presented in GOF; a rude, vain woman who thought way too highly of herself. I also didn’t like how jaded and miserable Tonks was; it seems so off from her canon personality.
The OC (Adrianna) is okay as a plot device to get things in motion, but (aside from that) I don’t find her that interesting. Her relationship with Harry is nice to see, since it makes up a little for Sirius not being around in the later books.
I mainly read ‘Of Hearts and Heroes’ for the progression of Hermione and Ron’s relationship; since it’s treated with more balance than it was the canon series did. Also, I love the last few chapters where Ron gets some appreciation and respect from people.
Thanks for the message, anon.
