Hermione as slytherin, thoughts?

I could easily see Hermione being sorted into Slytherin (even more so than Harry). She’s certainly ambitious and cunning enough. Out of the golden trio, she’s possibly the one most likely to fit into Slytherin.

That’s not to say that Slytherins are (by nature) more sneaky than anyone-else, of course. I just mean that Hermione embodies those traits very well.

Thanks for the ask, anon!

it is strange that even though i love ships like drarry, and drinny and druna i can’t really read any in school hogwats fanfics unless they’re because they have draco out of character. i’m down with post war because they usually have draco getting a redemption arc but i can’t read anything with him out of character. he was abusive and a bully and a coward and that needs to be acknowledge in fandom instead of being swept under the bus. you can love draco and admit he was a shitty human ya know?

I avoid writing about Draco Malfoy as a general rule. Canon!Draco was a pretty horrible person, and I find it difficult to write characters like that.

A quick heads-up for Steve Kloves…

Characters it would make sense to have fall asleep in the library whilst researching for the second task in the GOF film:

  • Hermione Granger. Works herself way too hard, and stays in the library a lot anyway. Has a tendency to forget all that’s going on around her when she’s studying. It wouldn’t surprise me if she lost sleep from reading textbooks til the early hours.
  • Harry Potter. Is stressed out from the Triwizard Tournament, and finds studying tiring anyway. Is probably losing sleep over what could happen to him in the third task

Characters that it doesn’t make any sense to have fall asleep in the library whilst researching for the second task in the GOF film:

  • Ron Weasley. Is super-supportive of his best friends, and wants to help Harry out with his research for the second task. Is probably still beating himself up about not believing Harry at first about not putting his name in the goblet of fire. While Ron doesn’t enjoy studying for long periods, his friends’ well-being is a high priority for him, and he wants them to be okay. Knows when to take a break from studying and keep himself alert. You’d have to be extraordinarily ignorant of Ron’s character to ever think he’d fall asleep whilst researching a way to keep Harry alive.

itsthatunique:

“Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first of September was crisp and golden as an apple, and as the little family bobbed across the rumbling road towards the great sooty station, the fumes of car exhausts and the breath of pedestrians sparkled like cobwebs in the cold air. Two large caged rattled on top of the laden trolleys the parents were pushing; the owls inside them hooted indignantly, and the redheaded girl trailed tearfully behind her brothers, clutching her father’s arm.”  – Epilogue: Nineteen Years Later, Chapter 37, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Why is Ron cut out of the last shot? I know he’s in the one above, but still…

Oh god not you too!😂 Ed and Rupert doesn’t look alike at all (it’s a running joke, I know, I love it actually. But I honestly can’t see it.)

I’m joking, of course. There’s a vague similarity at best. But in the early 2010s, they looked a lot alike (same hairstyle, same dress sense, etc.).

I think they got the ‘they look alike’ tag on them because they’re redheads who were of roughly the same age and both were British.

omg i just got this idea in my head of ravenclaw ron. like sorting hat putting ron in ravenclaw despite ron thinking he’s not good enough & over time he learns to realize how creative & intelligent he truly is. it’d be great for his self esteem in the long run but at first he keeps thinking he’s not good enough and doesn’t belong. i mean i know the alternative house for ron is usually hufflepuff but i think he’d do very well in ravenclaw. what are your thoughts on a ravenclaw ron?

I like the idea of AU headcanons where one or more of the golden trio are in different houses to each-other. It means that they work harder for their friendship, and it’s a little less…easy (good drama).

I think Ron would do well in all of the three other houses. Granted, he does have the Gryffindor bravery, but he’s also got Hufflepuff traits, Ravenclaw traits and Slytherin traits as well.

Thanks for the message, @whatifdestiel!

ugh why do people hate ron so much and who are your favorite ron weasley stans? i need all the ron love on my dash

Probably either because they watched the films first (and got a distorted view of the characters) or because they ship Hermione with someone-else. Or maybe it’s just because Ron reminds people of their own faults?

My favourite Ron-loving blogs are @ronandhappiness @vivithefolle @burgundydahlia @hillnerd @weasleyismyking540 @pynki @ron-is-awesome-sauce @ronweasleydefensesquad @ronbweasleynet @ronweasleydefense @kingronw @diva-gonzo @azaleablueme @acciocuteboysplease and @benedettabeby (apologies if I’ve missed anyone else out!)

Thanks for the asks, @whatifdestiel

okay so I love linny & I’m starting to get into drarry but I also like druna & hinny & drinny & lunarry so do you happen to have any headcanons about the 4 of them in a polyamorous relationship?

Hmmm. Well, I don’t really ship Draco x Luna (I always thought they were
related, but maybe I just thought that because of the hair colour), but I’ll
see what I can do. And I can hardly not
do
Drinny headcanons (otherwise @weasleyismyking540 will have my guts for
garters).

(For the purposes of this, Draco Malfoy is effectively a nice bloke with
Draco’s name and appearance. Canon!Draco is a jerk, and I don’t want him
anywhere near the other three in a romantic setting)

Harry and Ginny, of course, were dating. That was fine; they were in
love, after all.

Then Luna Lovegood entered the picture. Well, that wasn’t strictly true.
She had always been there, after all. She’d been Ginny’s friend for ages, even
before she met Harry. Ginny had always been close with her. Ginny had always
insisted to herself that Luna was just a friend, but her arguments always
sounded half-baked. As if she couldn’t quite believe it herself.

Not only that, but Ginny was also very much in love with Harry. But
Harry could tell that Ginny and Luna had something going on beneath the
surface. In the way they looked at each other. He could tell because the same
thing happened whenever he and Luna looked at each-other.

To complicate matters, Draco Malfoy then appeared. He was there, with
that blonde hair, and those intense eyes. Good-looking and he knew it. Harry,
Luna and Ginny all knew it.

Draco was cool as a cucumber. Except when he was around Harry, Ginny and
Luna, of course. The bloke would blush like a tomato. Trip over air. Needless
to say, it was entertaining to watch.

Eventually, Ron and Hermione had to lock the four of them into a room.
Four hours later, the foursome emerged as a poly relationship.

The four of them eventually brought a house nearby Ottery St Catchpole
(Harry, Ginny and Luna wanted to be near their families, and Draco wanted to be
away from his family, so it was perfect).

They had to magically extent the bedroom so that they could fit in a bed
big enough for all four of them to sleep in (Luna suggested bunk beds, but the
others managed to talk her out of him).

Luna had to implement a ‘no more than one in the shower at any given
time’ rule, because the resulting… “events” made them all late for work.

On rainy days, they all snuggle up together on the sofa and watch muggle
movies. Usually rom-coms (Harry takes great delight in seeing the other three
react to them).

All of them are of the opinion that the other three are better looking
than they are (yes, even Draco thinks this).

Their bed once broke during a particularly… enjoyable date night, resulting in a not-very-impressed Ron and a
very-embarrassed Hermione having to magically re-structure and strengthen it
the next day.

Sometimes, Harry and Ginny can’t tell whether it’s Luna or Draco’s hair
stuck in the shower (it’s usually Draco, funnily enough).

Luna works from home (doing artwork), Ginny works for the Harpies, Harry
is a teacher at Hogwarts, and Draco a columnist for ‘Witch Weekly’.

Harry, Luna and Draco always cheer Ginny on during her matches, wearing
dorky t-shirts saying ‘our girlfriend is amazing!’.

Luna, Harry and Ginny always compile Draco’s columns. He blushes
everytime he sees them cutting said-column out of the paper.

Ginny, Harry and Draco have all posed for Luna at some point. And before
you ask, yes they have done life
modelling for her, but that’s really no-one’s business but theirs.

Draco, Luna and Ginny often turn up announced in Harry’s study at
Hogwarts with a picnic. It’s not uncommon for students to see the four of them
sat out on the front lawns in the nicer months of the year.

Ginny likes it when the others kiss her neck.

Luna likes cuddling the others.

Draco likes snogging the others.

Harry likes putting his head in the others laps.
