I didn’t take anything. Please. I didn’t take anything.

I know we don’t like Emma’s acting so much but I loved this scene

@headcanonsandmore thoughts?

Her acting is actually okay here. She tends to do well in scenes that involve intense emotions (hate, anger, fear, etc.). It’s a very intense scene, which plays to her acting strengths.

Still annoyed that they didn’t allow Rupert to show Ron going mad with worry in the cellar, though.

The fandom perception that Ron only passed his Hogwarts classes due to Hermione is messed-up.

Ron has almost exactly the same grades as Harry throughout the entire series (aside from DATDA), and he was passed all but two of his O.W.Ls with decent marks. Realistically speaking, the only class Ron (and Harry) had difficulty taking notes for was History of Magic, and even then Hermione is literally the only person in their year group able to stay focused during Binn’s classes.

Ron and Harry are both typical teenagers who dislike school-work, but still work hard when it comes to the crunch. Implying that they both only passed their exams due to Hermione is doing them an injustice. Yes, she did help them out occasionally (she is their friend, after all), but she didn’t take their exams for them.

I swear, if I see one more post about Hermione gloating over Ron’s supposed lack of academic skill, I swear to Merlin…

Well, this scene made absolutely no sense at the time, and makes even less sense now. Did Steve Kloves just forget that Ron was the only one of the trio brought up in the wizarding world, and therefore the person least likely to get scared of an invisible ghost? Also, he knew Harry was under the cloak.

Rupert Grint deserved better than this, Kloves; how dare you?

Here’s an unpopular opinion…

Ron Weasley is too good for Hermione not the opposite, it’s not Hermione deserves better than Ron because Ron has way more emotion and sympathy towards others surprisingly, he’s the one telling her that house elves like working when she was pushing them so much that at the end Dobby alone was cleaning the Gryffindor common room, he saved her life, he acknowledges when he’s wrong and apologises, Hermione doesn’t, he didn’t belittle Luna for her peculiar character, Hermione did, he didn’t change his attitude towards her when he learned about her writing to Krum (for long at least), she did when he was dating Lavender Brown and she physically attacked him with birds because she was jealous and Ron never physically attacked her and last but not least while Ron did make her cry with no intention, in the first book, he saved her life, Hermione was belittling him throughout the book more than he did to her since the moment they met for the first time and they didn’t even know each other.

Dear HP Fandom,

Stop acting as if Ron is an insensitive and abusive piece of sh*t, because he’s not. He’s actually the most sensitive out of the trio, he’s the one who made Harry feel like home when he had no one, except for Hagrid, he’s the one who was defending Hermione when she was being bullied and was willing to take her place when Bellatrix was to torture her, he was the one who thought about the house elves first during the battle of hogwarts, he didn’t want to break up with Lavender Brown because he didn’t want to hurt her.

Next time you say that Ron is insensitive, abusive and in general bad remember that Hermione was keeping in a jar and blackmailing Rita Skeeter, she underestimated Ron many times, she showed no sympathy towards Ron and Lavender for their pets’ death even though they meant a lot to them, Hermione always excused Crookshanks trying to hurt Scabbers as “it’s in their nature” and didn’t apologise once for it. I love Hermione, I really do, I love how she’s not the perfect Hermione we see in the movies, that she has her flaws and she has generally an attitude, but I can’t stand when the fandom cherry picks Ron’s bad moments (especially from the movies) to make him look as the piece of sh*t Dr@co Malfoy is and forget the times Hermione has been ignorant of Ron’s insecurities.

I always thought genuinely funny Ginny’s line to James Sirius in the epilogue “you interrupted them? You’re so like Ron” like she never got over the fact Ron interrupted her kiss with harry even after 20 years

I personally think Ron and Ginny interrupt each-other’s snogs with their S.Os all the time, and Ginny’s just bitter because Harry’s too much of a softy for his wheezy to tell Ron to shove off.

Hermione has no such qualms with telling Ginny to get lost. She wants her alone time with her sexy ginger man, and no-one is getting in her way.
