My mate once said this was one of her favourite moments from poa because it was funny, but I really don’t get that because dumbledore is hurting Ron. Idk if this is deliberate but you would have thought that he would know that hitting someone’s BROKEN LEG would hurt. And he didn’t even stop when Ron clearly looked like he was in pain. So can someone please explain the hi our to me?

@superchaostree It’s because the films (starting with POA) basically turned Ron into a walking punch-line that was only on-screen for the audience to laugh at. Steve Kloves (who wrote all the HP films except the fifth) seems to have had a bias against Ron (and, to a lesser extent, Ginny). Which is a real shame, considering how good an actor Rupert Grint was.

A Good Thing To Know!

https://www.tribecafilm.com/stories/the-truth-according-to-darren-wilson-a-narrative-ferguson-mike-brown

He made it with filmmaker and BLM activist Sol Guy and you wouldn’t know from the title, but it’s actually a short film, not a documentary, about Darren Wilson being a fucking liar.

Tumblr completely erasing the work of a Black activist/artist while simultaneously finding ways to slander an LGBTQ Jewish person at the same time due to literally not bothering to find out what the film was about in the first place? I’m shocked.

It’s about four and a half minutes long and you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/V30Somb7Hv8

Please do your research before slandering people. Especially for things like this.

And here is Sol Guy’s instagram in case you want to support his work too: https://www.instagram.com/solguy/?hl=en

the fact that cishet men possibly in their 30s or even 40s are criticising a show marketed and created for young and potentially lgbt audiences is a little concerning considering they’re criticizing the show solely for its lack of sexualization in female characters. they weren’t actual fans of the original, they’re just mad noelle and her team didn’t follow through with reviving the older, sexist character designs and it really shows in their negative reviews. the only thing they talk about is the characters and the way they personally, as lesbophobic, mysogynistc, and sexist men, find them unappealing. they’re turned off because adora, a literal teenager, is too flat-chested in their unwanted opinions. they’re mad glimmer is chubby and plays a major role in the show while still being respected and treated as a human being. they’re angry that entrapta is an intelligent young princess that promotes autistic traits and defeats the mysogynistc concept that women are lower than men in mathematical and scientific fields. they’re bothered by the fact that bow can single-handedly remove the mysogynistc idea created by sexist white men that masculinity = fragility when expressed in ways they dont approve of and that if you’re a man you can’t express ’“ feminine traits ”’ like openly crying or being scared or hurt. it all strips down to the predatory behaviors, racism, sexism, and mysogyny these creepy grown men own. the characters they’re specifically degrading were the ones made to represent young girls and boys, not their creepy and selfish selves. this show isn’t for them, it is for little children and audiences that can potentially view ourselves in some, if not all, characters. this is a show produced by a lead lesbian writer who specifically took something of the reboot that was undesirable to child audiences and crafted it into what it is now, allowing it to hold a different, more important presence in our hearts. this is the show we should be praising for its explicit representation of underlooked groups and diversity, not degrading for something as stupid yet predatory as its lack of sexual character designs for literal teenagers.

THANK YOU

I love my husband. You know why? Well beyond being handsome, kind, and perfect- 😉 – he is the opposite of toxic masculinity.

I got home from the hospital yesterday and he was like ‘Honey, I found the most amazing show! I honestly think it will be one of you favorites! And it’s like super inclusive, and great!’

‘What is it?’ 😀

‘It’s called She-Ra. They like, totally nailed everything. All the character designs are amazing, and it’s just super wholesome and positive. You’re going to LOVE it. It’s literally one of the best shows on Netflix.’

*FIRST SCENE WITH BO COMES UP*

‘This one is my favorite. They might be your fave character, too!’

Like… he’s such a f***ing treasure. And the dude grew up on an effing ranch in a small conservative christian town in Texas- like- there is NO excuse to be the way so many men are. You can be ‘traditionally masculine’ and not embrace toxic masculinity. Dude can build anything, rustle cattle, does precision car racing for fun, rebuilds cars, was captain of basketball and track team etc. But also likes to watch cartoons with me every Saturday, including ‘Spirit’, ‘We Bare Bears’ and ‘She Ra’.

I don’t often get political… but something has happened

Trump. He and his administration are trying to change the law so that whatever gender you were “born as” is your unchangeable sex/gender.

[1.4 MILLION AMERICANS]

This is from a new New York Times article, regarding the technicalities of what has been said. They go even further to discuss what they accurately call “biggest battlegrounds” for transgender students: the bathrooms and locker rooms.

We can’t be quiet about this. They are trying to erase who we are. To make it so that we just DON’T EXIST. As a transgender male who lives in America, this scares the shit out of me.

As I said, I don’t normally get political on my blog, but you all need to know about this.

don’t let this happen

“wrongfully extend civil rights protections to people who should not have them”

If that doesn’t send a chill down your spine I don’t know what to say

List of people who throughout history have thought that people “Shouldn’t have civil rights protections”

1) Fascists

2) That’s it that’s the whole list

I cannot believe you just reblogged a post i made,,,, you know it’s bad when a popular blog you like reblogs a political post you made.

but also, that list is so true
