Meeting Luna

‘I’ll make Goyle do lines, it’ll kill him, he hates writing,’ said Ron happily. He lowered his voice to Goyle’s low grunt and, screwing up his face in a look of pained concentration, mimed writing in midair. ‘I … must … not … look … like … a … baboon’s … backside. ‘

Everyone laughed, but nobody laughed harder than Luna Lovegood. She let out a scream of mirth that caused Hedwig to wake up and flap her wings indignantly and Crookshanks to leap up into the luggage rack, hissing. Luna laughed so hard her magazine slipped out of her grasp, slid down her legs, and onto the floor.

‘That was funny!’

Her prominent eyes swam with tears as she gasped for breath, staring at Ron. Utterly nonplussed, he looked around at the others, who were now laughing at the expression on Ron’s face and at the ludicrously prolonged laughter of Luna Lovegood, who was rocking backwards and forwards, clutching her sides.

‘Are you taking the mickey?’ said Ron, frowning at her.

‘Baboon’s … backside!’ she choked, holding her ribs.

regarding all the hooplah about my work being reposted without credit: this is why. i really prefer retweets and reblogs, but if you must repost, this is what citing the creator had the power to do. removing us from the equation is denying us proper exposure to potential clients when this is the only means of income we have.

edit: the article shown here is not about me!! i appreciate all the congrats comments but i was merely showing the power proper credit has.

Don’t repost stuff, but if you do, give credit

I’ve been a little down lately with all the art I’ve got to work on so I took a break and decided to go one piece at a time and start with the one I wanted to finish the most. So I combined the two things I love the most Harry Potter and Frozen , I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out and I kinda like the sketchy lineart style I’ve adopted lately, I would a similar one with Kristoff and Anna as Ron and Hermione but it would just end up being a hogwarts au with them in the wrong houses

‘Ron proposing to Hermione’

It was an open prompt- so I had to think out ‘er, how would this go down?’  I didn’t have a firm headcanon of it- it’s fluid. I have a lot of varied ideas-

My main solid idea was that he wouldn’t wait all that long to propose to her- like within a year or so of the final battle. It’s after a war- they’ve been through enough stuff that their souls are pretty old- So they’re not older than 19/20 or so here.

Scenario: he takes Hermione for a fly and a picnic a bit after her graduation. They need a bit of a break from Auror stuff and she has a few weeks before all her work kicks in. He’s had the ring on him for a while as he just can’t seem to pick the right way to propose- the right moment. In some ways he feels like it’s daft to propose at all- they’re so young! But then they’re out there, and the sun is setting, and she’s looking so beautiful and she’s saying something like- ‘Today was perfect. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could just spend all our time like this, just the two of us?’ blah blah blah talking about stuff they’ve been through, talking about their future together.

And before he knows it he’s talking about their future too- and they’re both sort of going off on tangents about the future they picture together- and it’s getting pretty detailed- just both dancing around the whole marriage thing… then he’s like- you know what? This is it. This is the moment.

And he decides right then to propose- that would be in their future together. And she cries, and he cries a bit and it’s super romantic.
