i love that almost every ron positive post in this site always got a reply like “harry potter wrote this” like it’s just an accepted fact that harry lowkey has a crush on ron
It was only a matter of time before the fandom realised that Harry ‘the bi who lived’ Potter was in love with his wheezy.
I imagine that, if Steve Kloves had written Ron and Harry’s friendship the way it was in the books, the Rarry/Harron ship would today be one of the largest non-canon ships in the fandom.
I mean, I know that Dan and Rupert didn’t really have that sort of chemistry on-screen, but you never know…

I think that (to me, at least) Rupert and Daniel had so few proper one-on-one scenes after the second film (with the exception of DH), so there were less opportunities for people to see it and ship their characters together. We can put that down to Steve Kloves effectively moving Hermione into Ron’s spot as Harry’s best friend.
But, the chemistry is there.
It just didn’t get much attention compared to Harry and Hermione’s relationship, or Ron and Hermione’s relationship.

i hate how they had Hermione being the only one to ever have close friendship moments with Harry in the movies. It’s just weird, to me, as he and Hermione are very good friends, but until book 6, he was decidedly closer with Ron and was not all that supportive of Hermione a lot of the time.
Harry Potter can handle a lot of things:
slights against his sanity
criticism of his work
people not believing all the things that he had to do on his way to saving the wizarding world
people still not trusting him thanks to the media
But if you dare disrespect his platonic life partner Ronald Bilius Weasley, then the boy who lived will rain down vengeance upon you.
