You have successfully
downloaded the Harry Potter film series update 2.0!
Below are some of the
changes that have been made:
The entire Weasley
family is treated with respect
It is now made very
clear that Harry and Hermione see each-other as siblings and nothing more
Ron Weasley now has
his correct personality, mannerisms, and character developments in place (this
was left out in the original format)
Hermione Granger has
human flaws
Harry Potter is now in
possession of the book-accurate level of sass
‘Calmly’ means
‘calmly’ this time
Ginny Weasley now has
a personality
Hermione’s bushy hair
will now remain consistent throughout all of the films
Ron’s jokes are witty
rather than irritating
Charlie Weasley exists
Tonks has her
backstory and character arc restored to its original setting
Ron Weasley has his
greatest moments restored to him (most of them were mistakenly given to
Hermione in the previous format)
Lavender Brown’s
ethnicity will not automatically change to ‘white Caucasian’ when she becomes
integral to the plot
The Marauders have
their original ages restored (there was a system error last time, which left them
all looking middle-aged)
Harry and Hermione don’t
start quasi-romantically dancing randomly to a Nick Cave song (we think this might have been a
computer bug)
Steve Kloves will not
be allowed anywhere near the production
@queerqueenoftears I’m curious as to why a Harry x Hermione shipper would reblog a post that includes the line ‘Harry and Hermione see each-other as siblings and nothing more’.
The thing is I don’t ship ship Harry and Hermione. Like if they were canon I wouldn’t have a problem with it and I think it was better than Hinny and Romione but I always saw them as more of a brother-sister relationship.
@queerqueenoftears Whoops- sorry. I got a little confused because I noticed a post on your blog that said ‘Hermione Potter just sounds good, doesn’t it’ and I assumed you shipped them together. I’m a Romione shipper (my OTP), and I see Harry and Hermione as siblings too. I’m glad you like my post. Sorry about the mix-up.
Yeah don’t worry about it. I’m actually a huge Lunarry shipper.
Ron: Hermione, stop annoying Harry and Luna!
Hermione: I’m just helping Harry out on his date.
Ron: You’re embarrassing him!
(Ron and Hermione start arguing)
Harry (to Luna): Ron and Hermione are my best friends.
Luna: Do they get along?
(Harry watches Ron and Hermione continuing to argue loudly)
Harry: …
Harry: They’re crazy about each other.
I really dislike the implication that even if jkr had regretted putting ron and hermione together (which to be clear, she never said she did), that that instantly translates to hermione ending up with harry and vice versa. WHY? why should a pair of characters who were shown over an entire 7 book series to have no romantic interest or attraction to each other suddenly be thrust together after the war? that makes no sense. it’s simply their convenience of proximity, which is the stupidest and laziest reason for a pair of characters to embark on a romantic relationship/ means by which that relationship is accomplished. it’s simply because that character was there. that’s like implying that if harry’s relationship with ginny didn’t work out, he would instantly turn to hermione, the closest and most convenient female, for a rebound. NOPE. that’s not the way relationships work.
Very true. It makes little sense, since Harry and Hermione had literally no interest in each-other other than platonic friendship and adoptive sibling-hood.
For what it’s worth, if Harry ever did split from Ginny, my money would be on him getting together with Luna.
1- Patronus? No idea. I’m not on Pottermore. Probably a dog or a hedgehog.
7- Top five ships?
Romione (Ron and Hermione)- my OTP.
Lunarry (Luna and Harry). I like Hinny, but I honestly think this would have made more sense character-wise.
Linny. They’re so sweet, and balance each other out so well.
Linuarry (Poly ship throuple with Harry, Luna and Ginny all dating each other). I honestly feel this is the best outcome, since they all balance each other out brilliantly.
Rarry (as an AU, or happening in the post-war years in a poly ship with Romione, as in Harry and Hermione both being in love with Ron).
13- Character you most identify with? Probably a mixture of Ron (insecurities, self-doubts and loyalty), Hermione (book-worm tendencies) and Neville (used to get bullied and had low self-esteem).
32- Favorite friendship? Probably Harry and Ron. I suppose I could also say the golden trio, but Harry and Hermione just don’t have the same connection that Harry and Ron have. Harry and Ron are platonic (almost romantic) soul-mates in so many ways, and care for each other so much. My BROTP, if you will.
