Digital ain’t my favorite way, but when I’m at work I shouldn’t be taking out a sketch pad.

Oh well, here’s Ron and Hermione trying to bask in the fact that they somehow made it alive out of Malfoy Manner. I’m a sucker for shell cottage fics and angst. I honestly think that this is something that’ll take a long time to get over. That Hermione would be affected with anxiety over the flashbacks and Ron wouldn’t be okay not knowing where she is and trying to always make sure she’s safe. That this experience bonded them together in a way nothing ever has. Anyways, I gotta work on how to draw men better, and hands.

Are you sure this is how the muggles decorate their christmas trees without magic?

Sometimes there are days when nothing works out the way you want it to.

When you accidentally burn the cinnamon cookies and they rather resemble Hagrid’s cooking. And when you open the box of ornaments in the attic, only to find out that the ghoul has smashed almost half of them.

And then, when you think your perfect Muggle Christmas (which you have promised your future father in law) is ruined, there is Ron in the living room, struggling with the christmas tree illumination and the lametta. It’s a tangle of freckled limbs and power cords, plugged into an improvised socket, and in the middle of it all there’s Ron’s face in the soft glow of the light bulbs. 

And Hermione just wants to kiss him, because there is Ron, and electricity, and he’s a genius

I’ve been a little down lately with all the art I’ve got to work on so I took a break and decided to go one piece at a time and start with the one I wanted to finish the most. So I combined the two things I love the most Harry Potter and Frozen , I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out and I kinda like the sketchy lineart style I’ve adopted lately, I would a similar one with Kristoff and Anna as Ron and Hermione but it would just end up being a hogwarts au with them in the wrong houses

‘Ron proposing to Hermione’

It was an open prompt- so I had to think out ‘er, how would this go down?’  I didn’t have a firm headcanon of it- it’s fluid. I have a lot of varied ideas- 

My main solid idea was that he wouldn’t wait all that long to propose to her- like within a year or so of the final battle. It’s after a war- they’ve been through enough stuff that their souls are pretty old- So they’re not older than 19/20 or so here. 

Scenario: he takes Hermione for a fly and a picnic a bit after her graduation. They need a bit of a break from Auror stuff and she has a few weeks before all her work kicks in. He’s had the ring on him for a while as he just can’t seem to pick the right way to propose- the right moment. In some ways he feels like it’s daft to propose at all- they’re so young! But then they’re out there, and the sun is setting, and she’s looking so beautiful and she’s saying something like- ‘Today was perfect. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could just spend all our time like this, just the two of us?’ blah blah blah talking about stuff they’ve been through, talking about their future together. 

And before he knows it he’s talking about their future too- and they’re both sort of going off on tangents about the future they picture together- and it’s getting pretty detailed- just both dancing around the whole marriage thing… then he’s like- you know what? This is it. This is the moment. 

And he decides right then to propose- that would be in their future together. And she cries, and he cries a bit and it’s super romantic.
