It makes me mad that there is literally nobody who gets sick at Hogwarts, one of these little brats should get sick once in a while!
-Hermione is the first one to get sick out of the Golden Trio. Ron and Harry dont really know what to do; Harry was just told to “get over it” by his aunt and uncle, and Ron had a mother who knew advanced spells to help with sickness.
-They sneak down under the Invisibility Cloak to Hagrids’ to ask for anything to help her, they get directed to McGonagall. There they get tea spells and of course, biscuits.
-They do this for each other and stay up late into the nights when one of them are sick. These are the only times that Ron or Harry mainly take notes and class. Hermione does the sick ones’ homework and they fall asleep on the couch and floor until morning.
-Ginny is almost never sick, if she is she disregards it and say she’s fine. Neville and Luna know this is false. They always join her outside when she is and have a fun garden day with Neville showing different plant types around, and Luna making flower crowns.
-Luna will just wander through the Forbidden forest to join the thestrals when she’s sick. Ginny follows her with a bag around her shoulder. She sits next to Luna and opens the bag, in it containing some pudding and warm coco with the latest quibbler and some story books.
-They sit under a tree with thestrals walking around and lying next to them. Ginny reads Luna the books, ask questions about the Quibbler, and magic up some lights when Luna falls asleep on her shoulder. Ginny soon falls asleep too after singing some songs.
-Neville gets plenty of hugs from Luna and Ginny and tons of plant books and little drawings that Luna drew.
Isn’t that the name of them? Golden and silver? They were never called that in the books!
I think nony means both groups combined? I’ve always called them the Big Six, I thought that was common.
I think it varies depending on which part of the fandom you’re in. Most people in my circles tends to use ‘silver trio’ to describe Neville, Ginny and Luna. But I’ve also heard more Slytherin-centric parts of the fandom refer to Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson and Blaise Zabini as ‘the silver trio’ as well (although other people call them ‘the bronze trio’ and ‘the platinum trio’ as well).
The big six is also common, I think. Harry’s era of Hogwarts is also called ‘the lightning era’ as opposed to ‘the marauders era’ of his parents’ generation.
The way this is framed, it looks like Harry is checking out all three members of the silver trio. Which doesn’t seem that out of character, to be honest.
I don’t write much
about the silver trio, so here are some headcanons about these three awesome
characters;
Ginny is the most
ongoing of the three, and was also the one who encouraged Neville and Luna to
sit with her at mealtimes.
Luna is the most
affectionate of the three (Ginny was a little shocked at first by how tactile
she was, but appreciated it very much. Neville took a little longer to get used
to it, since he wasn’t used to people hugging him.)
Neville had a slight
crush on Luna at first. Ginny’s crush on Luna never went away though.
Luna had crushes on
both Neville and Ginny, but her feelings for Neville faded around the same time
as his feelings for her.
Neville was the first
person that Ginny told about her crush on Luna. Later that same day, he
casually asked Luna how she felt about Ginny. Within the week, both girls had
confessed to each-other. Neville was the first person they told when they
became a couple.
Luna was Ginny’s first
(and only) romantic partner that Ron had absolutely no problems with. He became
something of a Linny shipper, and always asks Neville how the two girls are
doing (both boys think they are an adorable couple).
As Luna and Ginny are
in a committed polyamorous relationship (both of them are dating Harry as
well), Neville sometimes tags along on their dates. He is also Luna’s datemate
(Ginny’s always been more like a sister to him), but it’s mainly just an
extension of their platonic relationship, as they enjoy being in each-others
company (although they both know about the other’s brief crush on them, and
were both quite flattered).
Ginny likes seeing
Neville and Luna holding hands. Both of them have told her to stop
uncharacteristically squealing whenever they do this.
Sometimes the three of
them just hold hands because why not?
Luna has fallen asleep
in both Ginny and Neville’s laps on multiple occasions. Neither of them object
that much.
Luna and Neville always
turn up to cheer Ginny on in her Quidditch matches with the Harpies.
Ginny and Luna both
kissed Neville on the cheek when he got the Herbology teaching position at
Hogwarts (he went red and started stammering ‘thank you’ to both of them).
Neville and Ginny go on
trips with Luna to find new magical creatures all the time.
No-one is entirely sure
whether the three of them are actually dating, because they’re so close and
tactile with each-other anyway, so are they dating or just really close? (None
of the three are that bothered either way- they’re just themselves and they don’t care what anyone-else thinks)
