idk how you feel about polyamorous ships, but harry x ron x hermione would be perfect. it would just be ron & harry being a couple, playing quidditch, stealing kisses, being soulmates & then ron & hermione being a couple, playing wizard chess, having kids, just being together. the golden trio all together & ron getting so much love & happiness.

ronandhappiness:

Nah, I support poly ships. My OT3 is James/Tessa/Will from The Infernal Devices (I hate the author but that trilogy was good.) I also like Luna/Ginny/Harry (Only Linny and Hinny though.)

I’ve noticed that there are many Golden trio fics where Ha/rmione is also a thing, alongside Romione and Ronarry. Harry/Hermione is my NOTP. I don’t know if I could read a Har/mione fic without laughing, so I avoid those fics. Adding to that, I’m totally here for Ron getting love and happiness, but I don’t know if Hermione would do poly. She’s not the sharing type and I don’t think canon Hermione would share Ron Weasley (she’s very possessive of Ron.) @headcanonsandmore’s Romionarry AUs are my guilty pleasure but I’m not sure if the OT3 would work in canon, considering how jealous Hermione gets. But hey, all power to you if you ship it! 🙂

Thanks for the ask!

@ronandhappiness I agree with you on the fact that Hermione is very possessive of Ron (I mean, we all know how she jealous she can be). I think a poly ship of Romione + Rarry/Harron could only really happen in an AU (and with a far less jealous Hermione). The canon character is really an all-or-nothing type of person when it comes to romance (and Ron).

And thank you! I’m glad you like my poly ship ideas (I tend to just write about them in headcanons, but I do have a fanfic about it as well)!

Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of Ron getting love and affection from the people he loves most in the world, but the canon version of Hermione is so rooted in possessiveness and jealousy that it becomes difficult for the poly ship to work.

Having said that, I kinda like the idea of Harry and Hermione arguing over who gets to spend more time with Ron, and Ron just blushing and stammering while he tries to calm them both down.

ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!

In Whatsapp (the most used messaging app in Brazil), if you receive a contact from a “juridical support group for LGBT+ people who are being harassed” called “REAJA”, DO NOT INTERACT!!!!!!! Apparently, this is not a real support group but it’s a trap that are targeting LGBT+ people to physically harm them. They people behind “REAJA” have very malicious intentions.

Be careful and stay safe!!!!!!!

do you happen to have any ronarry fics to rec? it can be otp or brotp, i’ll take anything i can get. i’m so in love with that pairing & there’s not enough content for it.

Hi! Ok, I’ve been looking for this post and I’ve finally found it! I don’t really read fan fiction but I’m sure that @vivithefolle @the-batty-beater @headcanonsandmore @exolovelovelove have more recs.

Thanks for the tag, @ronandhappiness! Hope you like these, @whatifdestiel!

Wildflowers and soft laughter’ by Cookies and Ink. Ron decides to finally confront the stranger who’d been stealing wildflowers from their front garden every weekend. He also manages to repeatedly embarrass himself in the process. Rated T.

Wedding Favours’ by Cookies and Ink. Harry had agreed to be Ginny’s fake boyfriend for a wedding, to keep her Mum off her back. He hadn’t expected to find someone he’d fall head over heels for there. Rated T.

Basically, check out everything by Cookies and Ink. They write so much Rarry/Harron fanfiction (often AU stuff, as well as halfway-canon stuff).

Engaged’ by I’mdeadsothere. All around Harry everyone is getting engaged, leaving Harry to wonder if he’ll ever have the same honour. Especially when the one person he truly loves, well, it’s complicated. Rated T. Contains strong language.

Beds’ by I’mdeadsothere. Now that the war is over Harry treats himself by buying a nice big fluffy bed. Only it’s too nice, too fluffy, and WAY too big. Ron has the perfect solution, but it’ll change a lot more than just how Harry feels about his bed. Rated T. Contains strong language. (This one also has Hermione ‘biggest Rarry shipper on the planet’ Granger involved, so that’s a plus).

(WARNING- FLAGRANT SELF-PROMOTION) There’s also my own ‘Having trouble sleeping?’, which is about Ron being the crush of both Hermione and Harry. It doesn’t have Ron choosing one person over the other, but focuses more on why Ron is so loveable. Rated T.

Hope you liked these!

Honest trailer guy (during the HP movie series trailer): Aaaand Rupert Grint’s dumb face.

Me (vibrating at a speed beyond understanding): ….. That’s a totally….not-wrong opinion to have. Why would I feel personally offended by that? That would be ridiculous…

Oh, you’ve seen that too? Did you also feel like throwing something when he called Emmione “perfect” and Ron “useless”? I mean, that’s what’s wrong with the movies, so the HT dude isn’t wrong…but still.

Oh yes, and I can tell you that I was suitably miffed. They even started the trailer by referring to the films as ‘for people too lazy to read’. The irony is crushing...

I could just about forgive that (I mean, they clearly didn’t read the books much), but they honestly referred to Rupert as ‘dumb’-looking. And that just grinds my gears (especially when we’ve got ‘eyebrows’ Watson doing the Mexican wave with her forehead every five seconds)….

Also, for the FBAWTFT trailer, they referred to Emma as ‘too famous nowadays’ and referred to Rupert as ‘where is Ron anyway?’.

Like, the internet does exist, you know? Why does the American media have such a complete blind-spot about Rupert Grint’s post-HP career? The man’s been on broadway, started producing his own shows, has two series going simultaneously, and will be on a BBC adaptation of Poirot. But according to the US media, he’s been unemployed since Potter. Jerks.

Sure, Emma’s well-known, but she’s barely been in anything at all. Her average work schedule is maybe one film in two/three years. And most of the films she’s in aren’t even that good. With Dan, you can at least make the argument that his not-so-good films are interestingly bad; Emma’s misses are just boring and dull.

Also, if Emma is the definition of “famous”, I’m glad Rupert’s doing his own thing (and not starring in live-action remakes of Disney animated films that just coast on nostalgia for film!Hermione).

Sorry that I went on a rant here, but this has always irritated me about the media’s treatment of Rupert.

Hermione: I’ve got you a gift, Ron. (hands him a lightly wrapped package)
Ron: (unwrapping the packaging) Is this clothes for me?
Hermione: (blushing slightly) I… I want you to wear this tonight. When we’re… alone.
Ron: (unwraps the package)
Ron: …
Ron: ‘Mione, there aren’t any clothes in here.
Hermione: Exactly.

Whatever you do, don’t imagine Ron Weasley reading HP confessions. Don’t imagine Ron Weasley reading posts where people wish that he died instead of Fred. Don’t imagine Ron Weasley silently agreeing with those confessions and dreaming about a world where his brother lived, even if it were at the cost of his life.

Yes hello how dare you I cry enough from reading those confessions already what gave you the right

*curls up and cries*

You know what’s worse? Bloody Ron-bashers would gleefully bully Ron to suicide, they’re just wonderful people like that.
That’s what I think of when I read those kind of posts. I imagine how Ron would feel reading them. And my answer is that he’d be goddamn devastated because maybe, if people see him that way, does it mean the locket was right?

Just think Hermione finding him crying…

THIS IS NOT OKAY!

But if you HAVE to… Imagine Auror Ron Weasley pulling up a chair to Hermione’s home office computer, on the sides of the mantel place, within eyesight, are replicas of the TWO quidditch cups he lead Gryffindor to win, hanging on the wall in the center is Ron’s Order of Merlin first class, under it is his framed chocolate frog card and prefect badge. Because while the rest of the house is dedicated to their children his wife’s office is dedicated to him.

So he sits and reads. Confession after confession. Some make him laugh, others make him raise an eyebrow, but none bother him. Gone are the days of insecurities and self-loathing. He’s not a teenager anymore, he knows his value, he knows his worth. He knows he’s not the person they speak of. His eyes wander to the mantel place, he never was.

@pynki THANK YOU!

What would you name as Ron’s best traits? I feel like people have trouble getting a grasp of his character, like he’s just the slightly goofier version of Harry.

littlegirlweasley:

THANK YOU SO MUCH, ANON. <333

Ron is SO much more than a goofy Harry. He’s loyal and brave and creative and yes, funny, but frankly I consider him to be the backbone of the trio. Hermione is smart and provides information that no one else knows. Harry has the goals that need to be accomplished. But Ron keeps you laughing when you could be crying. He reminds you that there’s something to go home to when the war is over. He is the brother that Harry never had. He is incredibly supportive to both Hermione and Harry. (”You asked us a question and she has the answer. Why ask if you don’t want to be told?” Telling off Snape requires GUTS. And he was only 13!) He sticks up for Harry multiple times throughout the series when he decides Hermione is getting too bossy. And about creative–he freakin’ decided to turn the ghoul in the attic into himself SO HE COULD GO ON A DEATH MISSION with Harry. Yeah, he got help, but the idea was clearly his own. Yes, Ron has a great sense of humor (”Look, let me go back and hit Percy!”). But it’s good to be able to look on the bright side of things. (“Ron, I’m really, really sorry about Scabbers…,” she sobbed.
“Oh – well – he was old,” said Ron, looking thoroughly relieved that she had let go of him. “And he was a bit useless. You never know, Mum and Dad might get me an owl now.”)  And like anyone, he can be a real prat sometimes. Because he’s human. And I really like that about him. It’s easy to identify with him. Yes, he gets mad. He lashes out. He takes jabs at his friends when he’s angry. But he apologises and tries to make things better when he cools off.

(“You won’t have to do all the work alone this time, Hermione. I’ll help.”)  I also love how he’s protective of Ginny, even when he doesn’t handle it very well. Yeah, he drives her crazy! But what are big brothers for? And she’s the only sister he has. He doesn’t want any boy breaking her heart. Back to Ron’s funny side–that’s still a really important part of his character. Frankly, if we all counted up how many times we laughed during the Harry Potter series, and then counted who in particular made us laugh those times, I think we would find that Ron made us laugh more than anyone else did. (”Can I have a look at Uranus, too, Lavender?”) The series gets progressively darker, but Ron is always there to lighten the darkness with a well placed comment. When was the series at its darkest? When Ron left. That isn’t a coincidence. I don’t think many readers realize how much we rely on Ron to keep the despair at bay. But Ron’s laughter is actually a lot more than simply acting the clown. Looking past the surface of the story, it is easy to see that his humor is often masking his insecurities. Harry is famous. Harry is a star seeker. Harry doesn’t have to worry about having the money for his school books. Harry gets all the attention, even from Ron’s own mother. Ron can either laugh or cry, so he laughs. Sometimes he has a hard time fighting his jealousy, but he’s always loyal to Harry, even when it doesn’t look like it.  (“He must have known I’d want to leave you.“ "No, he must have known you would always want to come back.”) Ron is more than comic relief. Ron is the light beyond the clouds, the silver lining, the rainbow after the storm.
