Hello; thank you! Yes, of course! Hope you like these!
Harry and Ginny carve pumpkins (using both magic and non-magic methods) with their kids. Harry enjoys taking his mind off the anniversary of his parents deaths, as the pumpkins remind him of the halloween feast at Hogwarts, and of the night when he, Ron and Hermione became firm friends.
Ron and Hermione often go trick-or-treating (Rose and Hugo insist, despite Hermione’s worries about their dental health). Last year, Ron went as Ed Sheeran, and no-one realised except Hermione (who decided to sing ‘Perfect’ to him when they were…er, alone). Often, they’ll pop over to Harry and Ginny’s to help with the pumpkins (which Harry loves).
Neville often helps makes massive pumpkins for Hagrid
Luna makes decorations for her friends to use, as well as helping Neville and Hannah with the plants as Hogwarts
After the kids have gone to bed, Ginny stays up to cuddle with Harry, and whisper sweet nothings into his ear.
Over at the Weasley-Grangers’, Ron has finished baking Hermione’s favourite pumpkin pie. On repeated occasions, Hermione will stop eating to press a kiss to Ron’s cheek (he blushes everytime).
Harry and Ginny fall asleep in each-others arms, safe and content.
Thanks for the request, anon; hope you liked those!
MY HEART I’M CRYING TEARS OF JOY
Thank you! I’m glad you like these!
Harry: C’mere Ginny (leans over for a kiss)
Ginny: (leaning away) Woah; easy tiger! We’re already pushing it with Ron by dating; I don’t want to see his reaction if he sees us snogging-
Ron: (from the other room) I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN SHIPPING YOU TWO SINCE I WAS TWELVE!

a rare species of plant which neville is searching for, in order to study, happens to be part of the ecosystem of the rare magical creature rolf scamander is researching….and that’s how they meet :^]
I headcanon that she did indeed have a little crush on Ron, and that she eventually told him during the time in HBP when he and Hermione were not talking.
She explained that though she did fancy him, she knew that it wasnt returned and that he liked Hermione, and that they should try their best to get things right with each other because they belonged together. She said their auras matched lol.
And he was going to say something to Hermione about it (weather she would listen or not), but two days later, he was poisoned. And then Hermione came to her senses.
And years later at Ron and Hermione’s wedding, Luna told how she had told Ron that and Hermione got all emotional.
@weasleyismyking540 That was beautiful! I would love to write a fanfic based on that premise (with your permission of course).
Crushes, birds and
revelations; or ‘how Luna Lovegood learned to stop crushing and ship Romione’
‘Bloody hell!’
Ron Weasley hit the
wall with his fist. He winced as pain flared up along his knuckles, and blood
began to surface on his skin.
Great, he thought. Now
he’d have scars to accompany the one that the birds had left. The birds set on
him by Hermione-
Ron slammed his other
hand against the wall. Pain flared again, but that was what he wanted. Anything
to distract from the pain currently striking his heart.
Hermione.
Merlin, her name alone
was enough to make his very soul ache.
Even though it had
happened over a month ago, the pain of their separation still clawed at his
heart.
Hermione Granger, the
girl he had loved since the age of thirteen, had attacked him with a flock of
ravenous birds, and then iced him out completely. It was as if she had never
been his friend in the first place.
His crime? He had
finally decided to get over her, and date someone who actually liked him.
Appreciated him. Who didn’t just think he was just the idiot sidekick.
At least, so he
thought.
On reflection, that
invitation (as angry as it was) to Slughorn’s party had been a request for a
date. But Ron had thought she just meant going as friends. When had Hermione ever
indicated that it was anything more than that?
The last Ron checked,
“guests” did not equate to “date”. Kind-of ironic considering that Hermione had
compared Ron’s own emotional range to that of a teaspoon.
Well, it was too late
now either way. He’d never get the chance again.
‘Hello, Ron.’
The redhead turned.
Standing a short distance away was Luna Lovegood, her dirty-blonde hair shining
slightly in the candle-light.
I don’t think Luna’s crush started in that compartment though, IMO she had a crush on Ron way before that, and Ginny knew.
“You went to the Yule Ball with Padma Patil,” said a vague voice.
Everyone turned to look at Luna Lovegood, who was gazing unblinkingly at Ron over the top of The Quibbler. He swallowed his mouthful of Frog.
“Yeah, I know I did,” he said, looking mildly surprised. “She didn’t enjoy it very much,” Luna informed him.
“She doesn’t think you treated her very well, because you wouldn’t dance with her. I don’t think I’d have minded,” she added thoughtfully, “I don’t like dancing very much.”
She retreated behind The Quibbler again. Ron stared at the cover with his mouth hanging open for a few seconds, then looked around at Ginny for some kind of explanation, but Ginny had stuffed her knuckles in her mouth to stop herself giggling.
At least that the impression I get from this, and it’s because of the use of the word “giggling,”
Giggling has a different connotation then laughing and isn’t used again. For the rest of the passage, laughter is described as laughter.
People like to say that was Luna just wanting to have gone to the Ball. I honestly don’t think that’s the case, I think it was more Luna wanting to have been there with Ron. Ginny knew this that’s why she was trying not to giggle.
Hmm. That’s a good
question. Well, I think my suspicions when someone pointed it out in a
submission to @harrypotterconfessions last year (which you can find here). Then @weasleyismyking540 went
into more detail about it, and I started to think about Ron and Luna’s
interactions during OOTP (which is where most of the evidence for this theory
comes from). I think it’s a theory that’s starting to gain a lot of support within the Potter fandom (or, at least, on my side of the Tumblr fandom).
(I’d using a few images courtesy of @ronweasleydefensesquad, since they have a brilliant post about Ron and Luna’s relationship, which you can find here.)
Luna’s only known Ron a few minutes at this point, but she appears to find him incredibly fascinating (she later stares at him even when he isn’t speaking). I imagine that she found herself genuinely happy to be around him, even if he wasn’t doing anything. That (to me, at least) sounds like the beginnings of a crush.
It was really sweet of Luna to hold Pig for Ron, despite the fact she’s only known him for a few hours. She also uses the opportunity to talk sweetly about Ron’s pet, which Ron seems a little baffled by (most girls don’t say sweet things to him). Notice that Luna wants to be physically close to Ron as much as possible, which is a tell-tale sign of a crush.
She’s supporting Gryffindor in the match, which is sweet anyway. But she also wishes Ron luck for the match. Also, notice that she refers to him as ‘Ronald’, which is usually just what Hermione calls him when she’s annoyed. But here, from Luna, it sounds like a term of endearment. I think it’s very sweet.
I understand most people don’t really see this, but I can’t help but suspect that when she first met him, Luna was attracted to Ron’s humour, kind-hearted nature, and his caring attitude towards the people he cared about.
Obviously, it didn’t lead anywhere (and my OTP is Romione, after all), but I would have liked it if Luna’s crush on Ron had been developed more in OOTP and HBP. Perhaps it would have given Ron some self-confidence, and maybe helped Hermione realise that she needed to show Ron appreciation a bit more if she wanted to give him hints of her attraction to him.
Sadly, this didn’t happen, and it’s entirely possible that Hermione’s initial dislike of Luna was at least partially based in her realisation that the blonde Ravenclaw was attracted to Ron as well. Luna is Hermione’s polar opposite, and Hermione likely would have felt threatened by Luna’s openness with her affection for Ron compared to Hermione’s avoid-showing-him-your-feelings-at-all-just-in-case-he-doesn’t-feel-the-same-way strategy.
Anyway, that’s why I think Luna had a crush on Ron. Hope you enjoyed my ramblings on the subject, anon. 🙂
“I like this song,” said Luna, swaying in time to the waltzlike
tune, and a few seconds later she stood up and glided onto the dance
floor, where she revolved on the spot, quite alone, eyes closed and
waving her arms.
Luna likes dancing very much, she thought Ron didn’t, so she lied to have something in common with him.
@pynki OH MY MERLIN, THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! I feel like I’ve been staring at this in the face without realising it!
the slytherin common room is like a palace. the students hold court there, discuss schemes and ambitions and scandals, at home in such a regal setting yet always with a slight edge stemming from the awareness that outside these walls–outside this dignified, fierce, protective slytherin family–there is an ugly, real, vicious world waiting to tear them apart. but no fear; the slytherins will be there with their experience and cunning honed in their very own fortress to glide through the storm, calm and cool and untouched. these students love each other boundlessly, and this is where they prepare each other for the road ahead.
if the slytherins have a palace, then the hufflepuff common room is like a cozy cottage. somehow, the cushions are fluffier, the fireplace warmer, the sofas squishier, and the atmosphere homier than anywhere else the puffs have ever been. they readily welcome all, the ambience of the room bright and cheery and open. you can feel the love and support in that room–the frankness different from the slytherins’ to be sure–not better or worse, just different with its in-your-face bounce. the hufflepuff common room is shelter in a storm, a reprieve from an exhausting journey, a re-charging station brimming with smuggled food and unending comfort.
the ravenclaw common room is like a roman atrium, open, airy, and embracing the sky with all its endless possibilities. it is florence blooming during its renaissance, chock filled with creativity, knowledge, and curiosity, the high turrets mirroring the soaring dreams of the students. here they study, work, and review, but also paint, sing, debate, and experiment. the ravens have no limits, no judgment or boundaries, only acceptance and empathy in shared thirst for wisdom. competition for grades is fierce to be sure, but personal ambition never impedes camaraderie and mutual discovery. books are swapped, new portraits revealed, and essays edited by peers. the ravenclaw room nurtures, growing curiosities, sparking new interests, encouraging deeper understanding.
the gryffindor common room is like an artist’s loft, overflowing with windows and half finished paintings and heart. gryffindors do not hide, or don identities or masks or veils; they are just as transparent and candid and true to themselves inside the tower and out. these lions are brave enough to care, and their ferocious love pervades their home base. like the slytherins, they know the true battle never ends; for the gryffindors, there will always be more justice to pursue, more weak to protect, more fights to be won. red is fierce, fiery, bold, burning bright and everlasting, the color of vanquished enemies and flowing sunrises and sunsets. this gallery holds a striking portrait of courage, of opening up to the possibility of wounds willingly, an arsenal of strength for the brutal, pounding battle ahead.
and the great hall–why, the great hall is where all these stunning qualities meet, in a glorious clash of colors, vibrant and unforgettable, melding together to form a place of unity, a haven for all–hogwarts.
2. Rejoins the D.A. under the Carrows, and ends up hiding from the Carrows in the Room of Requirement
3. Fights (and nearly dies) in the final battle
4. Stays behind to help round up the skrewts (along with the trio, Seamus, and Dean) while the rest of the class hides in Hagrid’s cabin.
5. Visits Trelawney regularly after she’s fired
6. Never once says a cruel word to Hermione or laughs at her expense
But no, let’s just keep thinking of her as a frivolous shallow bully who cares more about her shoes then she does about Voldemort.
Lavender gets a lot of hate. And I know a lot if it is because she goes out with Ron, but I just can’t hate the girl.
For one, she may not have been the first girl to realize how wonderful Ron is, but she was the first one to show him how wonderful she thought he was. I can’t fault a girl for falling for Ronald Weasley, seeing a chance and taking it. Carpe fucking diem.
There’s that and the fact that she’s a teenaged girl. A teenaged girl whose best friend is considered the prettiest girl in their year (with her twin). Her other roommate is the smartest girl in their year, (both of which bagged a Triwizard Champion for dates to the yule ball), has to have felt like the bottom of the Gryffindor girls totempole. So when she’s the first of the three to get a serious boyfriend, I can’t blame her for flaunting it.
Here’s the tea. The Lavender Business reads as super gross in the books, but y’know what? Teenagers making out is super gross yo. (Sorry, teenagers, but it’s true.) Plus it’s from Harry’s PoV, and let’s face it, Lavender’s sinking Harry’s ship. Plus she’s pulling a serious Yoko Ono on Harry’s band–all of a sudden Harry can’t hang out with Ron without Lavender showing up! And Ron and Hermione aren’t talking! And it’s a lot easier for Harry to blame Lavender, who he’s never cared much about, than to blame his two best friends for being idiots to each other.
But y’know what? Just because Harry doesn’t like Lavender, doesn’t mean she’s done anything wrong. It doesn’t mean she’s bad, or that we have to not like her.
The Lavender Business is gross, but frankly, nobody was in the wrong there (except maybe Hermione, who went too far with the birds). Ron had every right to kiss a girl that was actually into him. Lavender had every right to be into Ron, and actually make her move, too.
Literally the only thing that anyone did wrong was Ron delaying breaking up with Lavender after he decided he wasn’t really into her, and that’s the kind of totally-forgivable mistake that teenagers make all the f***ing time. If anyone deserves our sympathy there, it’s Lavender herself.
Lavender doesn’t have to be an amazing bad-a** to be “forgiven,” because she didn’t do anything wrong. Of course she is, in fact, pretty d**n impressive: Dumbledore’s Army fifth and seventh years, fought in the Battle of Hogwarts, Order of Merlin almost certainly. Assuming she can’t be because she also has “feminine” tastes and interests? A symptom of a mindset that it seems like maybe, finally, we’re starting to push past as a culture.
The physical aspect of Ron and Lavender’s relationship was described using disgusting imagery. That’s the only reason it was gross. (I’m sure @vivithefolle has written a meta for it.) Until one takes off their, “Lavender is a dumb-dumb” glasses, they will perceive their relationship as something repulsive. Dean and Ginny’s makeout session wasn’t written like Ron and Lavender’s kisses. I know that it was in Harry’s POV and Harry is free to dislike Lavender (I disapprove but I can’t do anything about that) but he never described any other kiss with such negative phrases. Did Harry have a crush on Ron that he was so turned off by him kissing Lavender? Like, chill, bro.
As voting day approaches, I want to implore everyone to vote. Especially if you’re young, if you have kids, if you’re LGBT+, if you’re a woman, if you’re an ethnic or racial minority, if you’re a religious minority, if you’re an immigrant or the family of immigrants, if you have a disability. But even if you’re not, vote.
You may think that politics have nothing to do with you, but they do. They affect the likelihood and quality of an education, the kind of healthcare you rec…eive, how much you get paid, whether you have an equal chance for housing, whether you can get married, the kind of treatment you will receive in the justice system, whether you will be able to retire, whether or not action will be taken to fix the environment–which is at a pivotal point. They affect everything from gas prices to the tone of our culture. I no longer want to see out of touch male millionaires making the laws that affect us all.
Politics should reflect popular consensus, and they don’t. Politicicans have repeatedly voted for measures that the average American doesn’t support. We need to elect leaders who stand for what we believe in. We need to elect leaders who will represent us and our interests, not those of corporations and the 1%, not those of a past generation.
Please vote. You may think your vote doesn’t count, but if we all vote it will make a big difference. This is even more clear as politicians fight to make it harder to vote. Ineffective and harmful leaders stay in power if we don’t vote. They don’t want us to vote, because if we do, things will change.
Remember that those in charge are actually in the minority, and if we band together we can have our voices heard. Vote for positive change. Vote for the ideals of compassion, social justice, equity, freedom, human rights, social progress, and policy based on science. Vote against racists, misogynists, homophobes, transphobes, xenophobes, classists, anti-semetics, literal white supremacists and nazis in some areas. It’s an action that we have control over, that we can use to fix this mess that our country is in.
