I guess all three of these are gonna be Harry Potter OTPs because I only have in-depth observations about that series so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ have some Linny @lyrics-are-poetryy

• who hogs the duvet: Luna. She gets cold really easily. Ginny doesn’t mind though because she prefers to sleep sprawled out with most of her body exposed to monster attacks. 
• who texts/rings to check how their day is going: They both do. My headcanons as far as occupation for this one are Tattoo Artist!Luna (yes it is because of that post) and Professional Quidditch Player!Ginny, and even though they both keep pretty busy, they still have lunch together once a week if Ginny’s home for the off season or for a home game. Ginny checks in on Luna via text periodically, but Luna is horrible at responding to texts because she gets Absorbed in her work, so sometimes she won’t see Ginny’s texts for hours. *five texts from Ginny that read along the lines of “thinking about you, love you”* Luna: *texting* ‘Hey sorry I didn’t answer! I love you too!’ Ginny: *from the living room* “I’ve been home for three hours.” 
• who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts: Tbh Ginny. You have to be creative to get Luna Christmas presents. 
• who gets up first in the morning: Awfully bold of you to assume that they get out of bed. Luna
• who suggests new things in bed: Awfully bold of you to assume they have sex. 
• who cries at movies: Ginny and Luna were watching Teddy for like a week in the summer of 2005 because Harry and Draco had just adopted twins and they were s t r e s s e d right, and Teddy brought a couple of his favorite films with him. They watched Monster’s, Inc. and Ginny cried. 
• who gives unprompted massages: Luna will because Ginny is always sore af from Quidditch. Also sometimes Luna will do that thing where you walk on someone’s back? And Ginny likes that. 
• who fusses over the other when they’re sick: Ginny fusses so much. She learned from the best, tbh. She will invariably send Molly a panic-stricken owl insisting that Luna is on the brink of death and she has no idea what to do (she can’t think straight if anything’s wrong with Luna) and Molly will rush over in a tizzy to find Luna sleeping serenely on the couch with a slight fever and a runny nose. How she sleeps through Ginny’s furious pacing is a mystery. 
• who gets jealous easiest: Ginny occasionally dealt with harassment from crusty dudes (usually fans, not players from other teams in the league). When Luna found out she made a point of going to every single game and as soon as some gross dude started saying stuff about her during a meet and greet or what have you, Luna would pop up, seemingly from thin air, wrap her arm around Ginny’s waist, and just glare. And Luna glaring is extremely unsettling. People started leaving Ginny alone after that. 
• who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Excuse tf out of you wlw have phenomenal taste in music. 
• who collects something unusual: They both do. Luna likes pretty crystals of the kind that can be found in Muggle metaphysical shops. She thinks it’s sweet that there are Muggles who think pretty rocks have magical properties. Ginny has a little tradition where, every year the Harpies make it to the World Cup and they win, she’ll buy the jersey of the opposing team’s seeker (her position) and wear it to the press conference. They also have an array of origami dragons enchanted to fly around the house in flocks. The paper they’re made from has things they like about each other or memories or sweet messages scribbled on them.
• who takes the longest to get ready: Luna, hands down. She’s very easily distracted. 
• who is the most tidy and organized: Ginny. Luna will be wandering about the house and Ginny won’t even need to ask what she’s looking for, she’ll just pull it off a shelf or table or wherever Luna left it and give it to her.
• who gets most excited about the holidays: They both go all-out for Halloween. It started out as just a little thing with friends and family, but more and more people wanted to come each year they did it, so they turned it into a charity event/annual Hogwarts reunion. People donate stuff to a silent auction or just donate money in general and the proceeds go to the dragon reserve in Romania. 
• who is the big spoon/little spoon: Luna is the little spoon. She is smol. 
• who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports: Luna is the most competitive, but only when Ginny is playing. She is the loudest person in the stands. A true soccer mom. 
• who starts the most arguments: It’s usually Luna when it comes to little things. “Ponyo is the best Studio Ghibli film.” “No, it’s not, it’s Spirited Away.” “Spirited Away is okay, I just feel like Ponyo is better animated.” “wHAT.” Serious issues they just try to communicate with each other about. 
• who suggests that they buy a pet: Luna found a litter of abandoned half-kneazle kittens hidden under a bridge not far from where their mother had been hit by a car. She gave their mother a proper burial and then came home with them and Ginny just sort of accepted it, and then it turned into the two of them running an unofficial kneazle/cat rescue. This was before they bought their first house, and at one point they had so many that they had to Confund their landlord. 
• what couple traditions they have: One of their favorite dating locations is Hogsmeade, and every year for Valentine’s Day or their anniversary they go to Madame Puddifoot’s. They used to go there together when they were at school and make fun of the awkward couples. Ginny would commentate what the other customers were doing quietly from behind a menu and Luna always had a hard time keeping a straight face. Then, in their 7th year, they had their first date at Madame Puddifoot’s. 
• what tv shows they watch together: They’re both obsessed with Muggle witchy shows, like Charmed and Buffy and Witches of East End. It started out as ironic appreciation and morphed into emotional investment. 
• what other couple they hang out with: They hang out the most with George and Angelina because they live in Godric’s Hollow too. It’s also got a lot to do with how close George and Ginny got after Fred died. They like to go on double dates with them. They see a lot of Draco, Harry, Ron, and Hermione as well. 
• how they spend time together as a couple: There’s lots of Netflix binges. Sometimes they sit face each other on the couch and paint each other’s toenails/give foot rubs. They go on moonlit broom rides together if it’s not horribly cold or windy (because Luna gets so freaking cold). Cheesy stuff like that. 
• who made the first move: Ginny. She pined for a g e s. 
• who brings flowers home: Luna. Not for Ginny, though. She has an amateur interest in plants because of Neville and any time she spots some local magical flora she harvests a sample and sends it to him. 
• who is the best cook: Neither of them are good, per se. Ginny’s cooking results are basic and her food tastes average. Luna’s cooking is more 50/50 because she likes to experiment. The week she invented three new fondue recipes was great, but the summer she was experimenting with blue cheese is something they rarely speak of.
